TYLER, Texas — No one was injured after a plane made an emergency landing on Highway 31 West near Toll 49 early Thursday morning.

According to crews on scene, the plane landed in the shoulder lane of State Highway 31 W. near Toll 49.

Texas Department of Public Safety said the plane was coming from San Antonio and it made an emergency landing in the area around 12:15 a.m. The pilot, who was the only one on board, was not injured, and the plane was not damaged.

The plane is getting moved to Tyler Pounds Regional Airport. It is registered to Tyler Flyers, a nonprofit flying club in Tyler.

The National Transportation Safety Board will be investigating the incident. Traffic on Highway 31 is not being impacted, DPS said.
