ST. CLAIR SHORES – The void of missing the prep football playoffs can do wonder for a team to try to turn things around.
It can fill the players and coaches with hunger and so much more.
It can definitely point to the areas of concern and need of improvement.
St. Clair Shores Lakeview saw its postseason streak snapped at six following a disappointing 3-6 overall record in 2024. The Huskies reached the postseason every year from 2018-2023 and have also qualified seven of the last nine seasons.
“We had made it six straight years and then last year we missed out,” noted Lakeview coach Patrick Threet. “We have a lot of experience, especially on the lines and with a three-year starter at quarterback, and so far we have played much better the first two weeks of this season.”
