Cardinals receive bad free agency prediction for All-Star pitcher

The St. Louis Cardinals have not exactly had the best season in 2025, but it wasn't necessarily all that bad.

Although they did have to part ways with closing pitcher Ryan Helsley thanks to a trade with the New York Mets at the trade deadline, they were able to keep third baseman Nolan Arenado, who in turn was injured for a large part after that deal went down.

And now, with the team sitting at .500 and well outside the realm of the NL Wild Card, the talks now surround the offseason and any moves that the team might make in the winter.
