LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Not much change with the forecast as high pressure has set up camp to the north and will slowly push east over the next week.
One thing we will definitely begin to notice, are the milder starts with a touch more humidity in place.
Dew points have climbed over the last 24 hours as many locations are feeling a bit more tropical as they climb back into the lower 70s.
Even with the return in humidity, our rain chances will still remain fairly minimal as we only see a few stray showers and storms.
Temperatures however, will quickly climb with most areas hitting the middle 90s the next few afternoons.
With the heat and humidity returning, it will be important to drink plenty of water as well as take frequent breaks to ensure you stay cool and hydrated.
