SUNBURY — A Northumberland County man has been found guilty of involuntary manslaughter but acquitted of first- and third-degree murder in a 2022 shooting in Sunbury.

A county jury on Wednesday found Randy Chain Easton, 45, of Sunbury, also on charges of aggravated and simple assault, possession of an instrument of crime and firearms not to be carried without a license. He remains jailed without bail pending sentencing.

District Attorney Michael C. O’Donnell said he was pleased with the verdict, calling it a tough case.
