FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WXIX) - An hours-long tense SWAT situation safely ended with the barricaded and armed suspect in custody, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

Brian K. Jones, 53, of Franklin Township, is under arrest on misdemeanor charges of inducing panic and aggravated menacing and a felony count of vandalism, Warren County jail records show.

“Everyone is safe,” Sgt. Ronald Smith tells FOX19 NOW.

“I’m just glad everybody’s OK, including the defendant. Nobody was injured on our side or his side, too. Hopefully, he gets the help he needs.”

It all started when a neighbor called 911 at 10:40 p.m. Wednesday and reported hearing four to five gunshots coming from a home in the 4300 block of Post Rail Lane, Sgt. Smith said.
