Over the past decade, fans have had the chance to flock to downtown Denver to celebrate titles by the Denver Nuggets , Colorado Avalanche and Denver Broncos .
So how could Colorado be among the worst states to be a sports fan in?
That’s one of the findings of a study by Ticket-Compare.com, a website for comparing ticket prices across retailers and trusted secondary marketplaces. Its study placed Colorado 41st among the 50 states and Washington, D.C., to be a fan in. By its measures, the pro titles aren’t enough to offset low high school sports participation and few NCAA titles.
Fans in larger states may have more professional franchises to cheer for, but smaller cities with only one game in town tend to have an intense passion for their team that is hard to match. Tuscaloosa, fo
