SWEETWATER COUNTY -- A jury on Thursday, Sept. 11, found Haitian trucker Saviol Saint Jean guilty of aggravated vehicular homicide in the death of a Rawlins emergency medical technician on Dec. 21, 2022.

On that day, Saint Jean, 46, plowed into an ambulance that was at the scene of another accident on Interstate 80 near Rawlins, killing EMT Tyeler Harris and seriously injuring ambulance driver and EMT Tiffany Gruetzmacher.

Saint Jean was also found guilty of aggravated assault and battery and failure to properly move his vehicle away from an authorized emergency vehicle.

After the verdict was read, Sweetwater County 3rd District Court Judge Richard Lavery ordered a pre-sentence investigation and said sentencing will be set at a later date. He thanked the 12-person jury, saying, "I know
