PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- It's a tale of two forecasts for western Oregon and southwest Washington this weekend as warm-to-wet weather returns to the region.
Decreasing clouds will help warm temperatures into the upper 70s to low 80s for Saturday afternoon. Sunny skies and warmer temperatures will keep Portland close to what's normal for the middle of September.
Clouds will quickly move back into the region on Saturday night. Rain chances start to increase Sunday morning. Showers will be light in nature with moments of dry conditions on Sunday afternoon and evening. Drier skies are expected to return to the region by Monday after a quarter of an inch is possible by the end of the weekend.
The thunderstorm threat will primarily remain over the Cascades and over the eastern half of the sta
