A South Bend man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute fentanyl. Kevin Pope, Jr. was sentenced to 66 months in prison followed by 3 years of supervised release. Pope sold methamphetamine and fentanyl to a buyer in South Bend on five occasions in October and November 2024. Police executed a search warrant at his house in December 2024 and found over 30 grams of fentanyl, a kilogram of pills containing methamphetamine, about 90 grams of cocaine, and over $22,000 in cash. They also found a loaded handgun.
