Javier Baez won’t be in the starting lineup for the Detroit Tigers on Saturday afternoon in Miami.
The Tigers (84-64) play the Marlins (69-79) at 4:10 p.m. at loanDepot park.
Baez left Friday’s game in the second inning after fouling a ball off his forehead. He is considered day to day .
Catcher Jake Rogers; infielders Trey Sweeney and Andy Ibanez; and outfielder Jahmai Jones will be available off the bench. The full lineup is below.
On the mound, Tigers right-hander Charlie Morton (7-13, 4.85 ERA) will face Marlins righty Janson Junk (6-3, 4.48).
Junk was Skubal’s college teammate at Seattle University in 2015-16.
