There were some memorable games and storylines in Week 5 of the high school football season in the Greater Savannah area.

Local fans came out to see the first game played at the Savannah Chatham Public School System's new facility — Groves Stadium ― in a game where Islands beat the host Rebels to end a 37-game losing streak dating back to 2021.
