YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – WKBN’s High School Football Game of the Week at 2 p.m. Saturday will showcase a pair of teams who are hopeful to compete in November: the Warren JFK Eagles and the Youngstown East Golden Bears.
JFK’s senior playmaker Lamarcus Provitt returned the opening kick 30-yards into East territory.
After not being able to move the ball, the Eagles were forced to punt. The return was mishandled by East as JFK’s sophomore Jacob Liber jumped on it to give the visitors good field position near the 20-yard line.
Following a drive which featured a number of penalties against JFK, the Eagles found themselves backing up; unable to move the sticks as they turned the ball over on downs.
