Fishing at popular local spot closed due to ‘possible bacterial contamination’

Fishing at Spicebush Swamp is not allowed until further notice, according to officials .

West Hartford officials said they are investigating possible bacterial contamination from an unknown source upstream.

While the investigation is ongoing, the town said fishing at the popular spot is prohibited.

There is no danger to park visitors.
