STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — If you know an incredible teacher on Staten Island, you can nominate them to win a top educator award worth $25,000.
Nominations are open for the seventh annual FLAG Award for Teaching Excellence, which honors New York City’s top public school teachers from across the five boroughs, grants them cash prizes, and makes a donation to each winner’s school.
The program highlights and rewards outstanding 3-K through 12th-grade New York City public school teachers who inspire learning through creativity, passion, and commitment.
Last year, the FLAG Award drew a record 1,600 submissions from students, parents, principals, and colleagues across New York City.
