R Mason Thomas ejected for targeting, will miss first half of OU football game vs Auburn

PHILADELPHIA — OU football defensive end R Mason Thomas was ejected from Saturday's game against Temple after a targeting call.

What was ruled a roughing the passer penalty was reviewed and deemed targeting. Pending an appeal, Thomas will miss the first half of next week's Auburn game.

Thomas is widely considered one of the Sooners ' best defensive players, despite finishing without a tackle against the Owls.
