CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — Austin Tatulinski had a game that he will be talking about for weeks.

The freshman running back led Strongsville over host Cleveland Heights, 29-26, in the Greater Cleveland Conference opener on Friday.

The Mustangs, ranked 11th in this week’s cleveland.com Top 25, improved to 3-1 on the season, and the Tigers dropped to 0-4.

Starting for the first time, the Mustangs’ head coach Jason Trusnik trusted Tatulinski time and time again. He rushed for 208 yards on 21 carries.

“I’ve coached this young man for a long time,” said Trusnik. “And I know the work he puts in to be better and do all the great things. He also runs hard.”

Henry Perrymond got behind the Mustangs’ defense and caught a 68-yard touchdown pass that put the Tigers up 18-17 in the third quarter.
