CLEVELAND, Ohio — Mentor defeated Brunswick, 45-7, in a Friday night matchup at Jerome T. Osborne Sr Stadium.

Mentor, ranked fifth in this week’s cleveland.com Top 25, is 4-0. Brunswick falls to 1-3.

Mentor led 38-0 at halftime, fueled by three Jackson Farley touchdowns.

Farley rolled into the end zone from 10 yards out to score the Cardinals’ first touchdown with 7:55 to play in the first quarter. He followed that up with scores of 1 and 17 yards to build a 21-0 lead.

The Cardinals added on with a 6-yard touchdown run by Dominic Burns, a Justen Hodge 4-yard touchdown catch from Brogan Jones, and Danny Kristo’s 41-yard field goal.

Burns sprinted down the sideline for a 70-yard touchdown run with 10:33 to go in third quarter.
