SCHENECTADY — A new option to pay for parking in downtown Schenectady is set to roll out in the coming weeks.

On Wednesday, the Schenectady County Metroplex Development Authority approved a new contract with LAZ Parking for parking management and payment services for on-street parking and lots scattered throughout the downtown area and the parking garage on Broadway.
