TUSCALOOSA, AL. – For the second year in a row, the Wisconsin football team was no match for Alabama .
The Badgers were handled on both sides of the ball in a 38-14 loss to the No. 18 Crimson Tide on Sept. 13 at Bryant-Denny Stadium. A year ago, Alabama scored a 42-10 win over the Badgers at Camp Randall Stadium.
The matchup was UW’s final non-conference game of the season, and the loss dropped the team to 2-1 heading into the Big Ten opener Sept. 20 against Maryland.
Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson, who completed 17 of 17 passes against Louisiana Monroe last week, missed on just five passes. He threw for 382 yards on 24 of 29 passing with four touchdowns.
He led an effort that generated 454 total yards.
