EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WKOW) – 83-year-old Richard Parent, who was reported missing in Eau Claire while driving from Las Vegas to his new home in Illinois was found safe.

Parent was expected to arrive at his destination yesterday afternoon, when his phone and earpiece stopped working. Before losing connection entirely, he was able to tell his roommate about the problem.

State Patrol later found Parent and tried to guide him toward Hooppole, but while following them, he missed an important turn and instead ended up in Eau Claire.

His roommate has not been able to contact him since.

State Patrol has announced a broadcast regarding their interaction with Parent. His vehicle was last captured on camera in Monroe County at 9:45 a.m.

The individual was last seen in a blue 2025 Hyundai with Nevad
