The Penticton Vees picked up their second win in just 15 hours, edging the Seattle Thunderbirds 4–3 to wrap up the WHL preseason on a high note.

With exhibition play now in the rearview, the Vees are set to make history as they prepare for their inaugural WHL regular season game on Friday, Sept. 19 in Victoria against the Royals. Their first home game at the South Okanagan Events Centre is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 26 against the Kelowna Rockets.

After a scoreless first period in Saturday’s matchup, the Vees opened the scoring in the second at the 9:57 mark. Diego Johnson netted his first of the preseason, assisted by Callum Stone.
