Development of the all-electric Ram 1500 REV has been cancelled, leaving Stellantis without a competitor to the Ford F-150 Lightning and Chevrolet Silverado EV.

In a short statement this weekend, Ram confirmed it decided stopped development on full-size 1500 REV (below) "as demand for full-size battery-electric trucks slows in North America".

Today's cancellation followed a series of delays for the full-size EV pickup, the last of which occurred in March this year when the Ram stated it would no longer develop a long-range version of the 1500 REV with a 229kWh battery pack and up to 805km (500 miles) of range.
