JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Turning Point USA at East Tennessee State University (ETSU), a national student organization, announced it will host a candlelight vigil on Monday evening to honor its founder, Charlie Kirk.
Kirk was killed at an event at a college in Utah on Wednesday. He founded and was the CEO of Turning Point USA, a conservative student-oriented organization that has chapters at colleges nationwide.
A social media post by Turning Point USA at ETSU on Saturday said that its candlelight vigil will take place Monday at 7 p.m. at ETSU's outdoor amphitheater near the D.P. Culp Student Center. Members of the public are welcome to attend, according to the group.
