In an early-season interstate matchup, the Cardinal Hayes Cardinals (1-0) travel to Montvale to face the St. Joseph Green Knights (2-0) at Karcich Field on Saturday.

The visiting Cardinals from the Bronx dispatched SJCI of Buffalo 28-14 in their season opener. Junior quarterback Kyle Mercorelli leads the Cardinal Hayes attack under head coach C.J. O’Neil.

St. Joseph brings momentum into its home opener following an impressive 34-19 road victory over Washington D.C. powerhouse St. John’s . The Green Knights’ attack is spearheaded by senior quarterback Lamar Best, who accounted for two TDs last week by throwing for one and rushing for another. Ryan Barry returned an interception for a late touchdown to help secure the win.
