Penn State , still the nation’s No. 2 team, will end its nonconference schedule Saturday with an in-state foe.

The Nittany Lions kick off against FCS Villanova at 3:30 p.m. inside Beaver Stadium. The game is airing on FS1.

As James Franklin looks for his offense to right the ship this week , Villanova serves as the final tune-up for Penn State before a bye week and the ensuing White Out matchup vs. a top-10 Oregon team.

Villanova is nearly a 50-point underdog for Saturday’s contest, as the second-tier NCAA football program likely won’t have the talent to keep up with Penn State. But the Wildcats did give the Lions a run the last time they met in 2021.
