KANSAS CITY — Upon landing in enemy territory, a flight full of Eagles fans making the trip for Sunday’s Super Bowl rematch were greeted with a message from the pilot.

“Go Chiefs,” he said Saturday morning over the plane’s speakers.

The response from the cabin? “E-A-G-L-E-S.”

Kelly green gear flooded Kansas City International Airport on Saturday morning. Eagles fans walked off the plane, through the terminal and to baggage claim with a strut in their step.

Philly fans have a right to be confident. The Eagles smoked Kansas City, 40-22, seven months ago in Super Bowl LIX. And they did it thanks to the man whose name was stitched on a lot of the jerseys worn on that Saturday flight — a man whose confidence has risen, too.
