A man has appeared in court charged with causing or inciting a child to be involved in pornography. John Sorby has appeared at Teesside Magistrates' Court charged with a string of sex offences.

The 33-year-old is charged with four counts of rape of a woman; five counts of child sex offences, and one count of causing or inciting a child age 13 to 17 to prostitution/pornography. Sorby has not entered pleas to any of the 10 charges.

Court documents outline that the alleged offences took place across various periods of time over the last 15 years. The court document outlines that Sorby allegedly "intentionally caused or incited a child... whom you did not reasonably believe was aged 18 or over to be involved in pornography in any part of the world".
