CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) - The Chesterfield County Police Department is investigating a road rage shooting in Midlothian, which left a driver injured on Saturday afternoon.

At 5:15 p.m., officers received a report about a shooting on Midlothian Turnpike near Stonehenge Village Shopping Center.

At the scene, officers found a man with a gunshot wound. The victim is expected to survive.

The Chesterfield County Police Department said it appears the victim and suspect were involved in a road rage incident while driving along Midlothian Turnpike towards Walmart Way.

“The suspect vehicle pulled up to the right of the victim’s vehicle and the suspect fired a gun at the victim’s vehicle,” said Chesterfield Police in a press release about the shooting.
