LINCOLN, Neb. —
The top-ranked Nebraska volleyball team wins it's 8th straight match in a sweep over Grand Canyon (25-12, 25-23, 25-18) Saturday night without the standout duo of Harper Murray and Andi Jackson.
This is just the third time in the last 13 years the Big Red has started a season 8-0.
Freshmen Campbell Flynn, Manaia Ogbechie and Teraya Sigler started the match on Saturday. Plus Skyler Pierce, Virginia Adriano, Rebekah Allick and Olivia Mauch at libero.
Sigler led the Huskers with a career-high 14 kills and added 11 digs for a double-double. Ogbechie had a career-best 10 kills on .529 hitting with three blocks.
In the first set, the Huskers went on a 3-0 run to start. Teraya Sigler slammed down their fourth point.
