Williams Racing Formula One team has released a statement after the FIA made a U-turn on Carlos Sainz 's Dutch Grand Prix penalty. Sainz was involved in an incident with Liam Lawson, for which he attracted a 10-second time penalty and two penalty points on his superlicense.

Sainz was furious after the collision since he believed he should not have been penalized. Williams filed a right of review request with the stewards before the subsequent Italian Grand Prix. The team was required to gather fresh evidence that had not been reviewed by the stewards to prove Sainz's innocence.
