The Forest Park Public Safety 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony was held Thursday morning at First Station 1 on Jonesboro Road. “Today, we pause to remember,” a Sept. 11 statement from the city read. “On this solemn anniversary of Sept. 11, we honor the lives lost, the heroes who rose in response and the resilience of a nation united in grief and strength. Forest Park's annual remembrance ceremony today serves as a powerful tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice and those who continue to carry their legacy forward. We will never forget.” The ceremony was held in collaboration with the Forest Park Police Department, Forest Park Fire & Emergency Services and the Forest Park Ministers Association.
