KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – There was no field storming in Neyland Stadium.
The goal posts remained firmly in place after No. 3 Georgia’s 44-41 overtime victory over No. 15 Tennessee .
The Bulldogs made the plays that made the difference with the game on the line.
The Volunteers did not.
“I feel like almost we have to apologize because I don’t think we should have won that game,” Georgia coach Kirby Smart said. “I thought they outplayed us in a lot of ways. That’s the way it goes. I had one against them like nine or 10 years ago that certainly went that way.”
Oh, yes, the 34-31 Tennessee win that came on a Hail Mary in 2016.
Joey Aguiliar did just about everything but make a miracle play to win.
He threw for 371 yards and 4 touchdown passes, torching the Bulldogs' secondary for 3 touchd
