With just 14 days to go until the gates swing open, the buzz is building for this year’s Perth Royal Show — and one fan favourite is ready to moo-ve back into the spotlight on Cattle Lane.
The cuddly, shaggy-haired Highland cows are set to return, and they’re more than ready for their years worth of pats and scratches.
Second-generation Highland Cattle breeder, Nathan Perry, is returning for his 10th year with his famous Highland cows.
Mr Perry runs 13 Highland cattle on his property near Serpentine and serves as the WA representative on the Australian Highland Cattle Society.
“My father Trevor Perry started our fold 38 years ago,” he said.
“I started showing cattle at a ripe old age of six and I was the first breeder to show Highlands at the Perth Royal Show in 2015.”
