Lansing — Michigan House Republicans have been touting plans to require more state workers to show up for their jobs in person in state office buildings, but a review by The Detroit News found some within the House GOP might also be benefiting from the flexibility of remote work.

The state budget proposal that the Republican-controlled House approved on Aug. 26 included a policy that state departments "prioritize in-person work for all divisions and areas."
