A home formerly owned by Sydney rapper Ali Younes was shot at in a drive-by incident early Sunday morning. The shooting occurred just after 1 a.m. on Harris Street in Merrylands, where multiple bullets struck the property, according to police reports.

Three individuals were present in the home at the time of the shooting, including two women aged 22 and 40, and a 15-year-old boy. Fortunately, none of them sustained injuries during the attack.

"Detectives have spoken with the occupants and they are helping with our inquiries," said Inspector Ricki Lindner during a press conference on Sunday. He described the shooting as "brazen" and "dangerous behavior" that poses a risk to the community. Lindner emphasized that such actions are unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

Ali Younes, who performs under the name "Ay Huncho," was released on bail a month ago. He faces charges that police allege connect him to the Alameddine crime family, which has been linked to several gang-related shootings in recent years. The Alameddine family operates an organized crime network in Western Sydney.

In response to escalating violence, New South Wales Police have established Taskforce Falcon to investigate a series of public incidents believed to be tied to an internal conflict within the Alameddine network. Inspector Lindner confirmed that Taskforce Falcon is involved in the investigation of the recent shooting.

This incident marks the second attack targeting Younes and his associates amid rising tensions in Sydney's criminal underworld. Earlier, on June 24, police allege that a 15-year-old and a 22-year-old man invaded the home of Younes' bodyguard in Guildford, resulting in the stabbing of the bodyguard's father.
