Charlie Kirk was not a fan of Coldplay — once saying he found its music “very hard to listen to” — but the band’s frontman, Chris Martin , has urged fans to spread love throughout the world including to Kirk’s family.

Martin, during Coldplay’s concert at London’s Wembley Stadium on Friday evening, appealed to the crowd to “send love anywhere you want to send it in the world,” including to “to Charlie Kirk’s family.”

Kirk, the pro-Trump founder of conservative nonprofit Turning Point USA, was shot and killed Wednesday at a debate at Utah Valley University . He was 31. Kirk is survived by his wife, Erika, and their two young children. On Friday, authorities announced they had arrested the suspected shooter .
