TEMPE, Ariz. — An Arizona family is mourning the loss of a 38-year-old man who was killed by a suspected drunk driver in Tempe last weekend.

For the first time, 12News is hearing from the wife of Kevin Roe.

Adelola Roe says her husband was driving for Uber the night he died. She remembers officers knocking on her door at 2 a.m. That’s when she rushed to the hospital with her daughter to Kevin Roe during his final moments.

"I just ran back into the ICU room," Adelola Roe said. "They said his body was trying to die."
