Injuries are not new to Max Muncy, but this season has been worse than ever. The Dodgers star stayed out for a long time with an injury-plagued season, and just when he returned, the slugger dropped to the ground after a brutal blow to the head.
Muncy broke out of his slump, but injuries have pushed him back. The All-Star was drilled in the wrist only a few days back, and things went south again today. The Dodgers were up against the San Francisco Giants when the incident occurred. Max Muncy stepped up to the plate at the top of the sixth inning with the Dodgers leading 9-7.
The Giants had southpaw Matt Gage on the mound, who delivered a 94 MPH ball. In no time, the Dodgers star dropped to the ground after the ball hit him on the helmet.
