About 3000 homes that are still without power after 24 hours of wild weather should have electricity restored by 6PM, according to the Premier.

At a press conference in Perth’s north on Monday, Roger Cook said repair crews have been working as fast as they can since the weekend storm.

“We had about 20,000 people lose power,” he said.

“We had around about 160 requests to the SES from households, mainly related to roof damage. Most of those, about a third of those callouts were in the Rockingham and Mandurah area, associated with those high winds that you saw with yesterday’s storms.”
