Angry councillors are set to write to Virgin tycoon Sir Richard Branson amid fury over delays to a cable repair that has left a pavement blocked for more than six months.

Barriers have surrounded the site, outside St Mark's Methodist Church in Gloucester Road, Cheltenham, with no sign of any work being done.

Coun David Willingham (Lib Dem, St Mark's and St Peter's) who serves the ward at Gloucestershire County Council, claimed the company had ignored his requests for information about the matter.
