There is nothing more frustrating than your best players struggle when you need them most — like Pete Crow-Armstrong hitting .178 with 33 strikeouts and a .488 OPS since Aug. 1, or Elly De La Cruz hitting .214 with 48 strikeouts in 36 games before Friday and no homers since July 31.
