QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) – A 76-year-old man was fatally stabbed in the chest at his home in Queens, according to the NYPD.

It happened around 11:39 p.m. at John Muraco’s home on 102 Street, police said. Muraco was stabbed once in the chest and pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

Sources told PIX11 News the stabbing appears to be a domestic attack. A person of interest is in custody, according to police.

Police in this borough have been investigating several deaths over the last week.

Just yesterday, a young woman was killed inside her home in East Elmhurst. And last week, a couple in Bellerose was killed inside their home when police say a person with a violent criminal history got inside the house and set it on fire.
