SAGINAW, MI — Countless buckets of paint covered a Saginaw skate park in color as residents and artists came together for an art-based community event this weekend.
The skate park, located within Frank N. Andersen Celebration Park, saw residents intermittently joining the Last-ish Skatepark Mural Community Paint on Saturday, Sept. 13.
The event was organized by Community Alliance for the People (CAP), which received a grant from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
Nyesha Clark-Young, treasurer and executive board member for CAP, explained how the grant helped form the event.
