NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) - A man is in custody Sunday following a deadly weekend shooting at a North Charleston apartment.

Detectives with the North Charleston Police Department arrested and charged 20-year-old Parrish Mitchell with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Officers responded to a reported disturbance at an address off Roxboro Road around 5:15 p.m. Saturday, and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim died at the scene.

Mitchell was booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center.
