BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - STAYING HOT

Temperatures will remain hot, especially during the afternoons. Daytime highs will be running about 3-5 degrees above normal. Thankfully we won’t be threatening any records, nor will we have to contend with oppressive humidity making it feel like the triple digits. Expect highs in the low to mid 90°s daily this week.

SLIM RAIN CHANCES RETURN

Our ridge of high pressure that has been keeping our area dry will start to weaken by the middle of the week. This weakening will open the door to a few t-showers mainly during the afternoon hours. We don’t expect widespread rain due to not having a main trigger for showers and t-storms. We also don’t expect rain totals to go over 0.5″ for those that see rain this week.
