Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek should follow the state of Washington’s lead and approve the availability of the COVID vaccines prior to the weakened CDC advisory committee’s forthcoming decision on vaccine guidance, (“ Why some Oregonians are being turned away for COVID-19 vaccines, ” Sept. 6).
The agreement among Washington, Oregon, California and Hawaii to follow the science should be enough to convince the governor that Oregonians deserve to get the protection of the vaccines, (“ Hawaii joins West Coast states in vaccine policy alliance, ” Sept. 4).
