Feb 9, 2025; New Orleans, LA, USA; Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts (1) greets Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (15) following Super Bowl LIX at Ceasars Superdome.

It's not the holiday season but the NFL schedule-makers were clearly in the spirit of giving when they penciled in a Super Bowl rematch in Week 2.

The Philadelphia Eagles travel to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in a Super Bowl 59 replay. It was just seven months ago when the Eagles trounced the Chiefs in the Super Bowl, giving Jalen Hurts and Nick Sirianni a ring, handing the Chiefs an L and ending their bid at a three-peat in the process.

While both teams have a slightly different look to them this season, both should still be considered the cream of the crop in their respective conferences.

The Eagles were taken to the wire by the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1, and the jury is still out on whether that says more about the reigning Super Bowl champs or the Cowboys under Brian Schottenheimer. Still, the Eagles prevailed and showcased the same explosiveness and crisp play that made them Super Bowl champs last season.

The Chiefs are looking to avoid their first 0-2 start under Andy Reid for the first time since 2014, and to do it, they'll have to put together something of a Herculean effort. Kansas City is currently without two of their top wide receiver options; Xavier Worthy will be out for Sunday's game as he nurses a shoulder injury, while Rashee Rice is currently serving a suspension.
