One man dead, another wounded in Central City stabbing, New Orleans police say

One man was killed and another was wounded in a Central City stabbing Sunday morning, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

Police were called to the 2100 block of South Liberty Street at 8:20 a.m. Paramedics transported the wounded men to a local hospital, where one later died, police said.

Police did not immediately release more information.
