Special elections will be held in the coming weeks to fill a Brooklyn state Senate seat vacated by Simcha Felder and a Staten Island City Council seat previously held by Joe Borelli.

The special election for the seat in the 22nd Senate District, which includes Borough Park and Midwood, will be held on Tuesday, May 20 , according to the New York City Board of Elections.
